That Lost season finale last night? Wow. Michael Emerson wasn't kidding when he said that cliffhanger would leave us eating our souls for the next few months. Well, if you're already going through serious Lost withdrawal, here are a few goodies to tide you over.
THE LOST MOBISODES: I tend to stay away from the mountains of Lost spin-off material - After all, once you get started with all the little games and websites, where do you stop? But the Lost mobisodes are worth checking out. Each just a few minutes long, they feature the same cast and crew as the show and offer short scenes that shed a new light on aspects of the larger story. It's surprising to see Jack and his estranged father sharing a warm, father-and-son moment, and this little conversation between Ben and Jack is certainly ironic, given all that came later. And it confirms, if there was ever any doubt, that sometimes the Lost writers are just screwing with our heads because they're mean.
BEFORE THEY WERE LOST: MSG.COM offers an interesting gallery of photos showing the Lost stars in roles they played before they were cast on the show. It's easy to forget that the same actor who plays the tortured and craggy Jack Shepherd (Matthew Fox) also played the fresh-faced and floppy-haired Charlie Salinger on Party of Five, or that the mysterious Richard Alpert (Nestor Carbonell) was once The Tick's Batmanuel.
THE FINE BROTHERS' LOST PARODIES: The Fines have created a series of web shorts using the super-realistic Lost action figures, with somebody's backyard making a surprisingly effective jungle backdrop.
Now, try to make those links last. Remember: no new Lost until freaking January.
